Chronic Disease Services provided by the Madison County Health Department include: Blood Pressure screenings, blood sugar screenings, and injectable medication such as, Vitamin B12, Estrogen, and Testosterone.

Blood pressure screenings are provided on a daily basis from 7:00 a.m . to 5:30 p.m. There is no charge for blood pressure screenings.

For injectable medications you must have a physicians order instructing how the medication is to be administered and you are responsible for providing your own medication. The order expires one year from the date it was written, and it is the clients’ responsibility to obtain a new written order each year. Please call to determine what you will have to pay for this service. These services are provided Monday- Friday 7 AM- 11:30 AM, then 1 PM- 5 PM.

Blood sugar screenings are provided through the fee for service program. It is best to have your blood sugar checked after fasting, nothing to eat or drink for at least 8 hours. This will give you a more accurate reading than if you have had something to eat. Please call to determine what you will have to pay for this service. This service available Monday- Friday 7 AM- 5:30 PM.
